Technology developed/standardised by research organisations such as CMFRI for commercial farming of crab, need transfer to the field. Therefore it is proposed to start pilot projects for demonstrating technology for farming crab on a commercial scale so as to popularise the technology among private individuals. Establishment of demonstration farms and training of persons are also envisaged in the project. The outlay provided is for this purpose. The net outlay for the project is 5 lakhs.
